Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 2026 technology roadmaps for emerging fields including quantum AI and bio-integrated systems
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints with engineering, design, and product teams
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify disruptive technologies with 3-5 year market impact
- Build strategic partnerships with academic institutions and tech pioneers
- Present innovation frameworks to C-suite executives and board members
- Manage $2M+ annual R&D budget for future technology incubation
- Author thought leadership reports on industry transformation trends
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning or R&D leadership
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum, AI, AR/VR, or biotech)
- Proven track record of launching breakthrough products/services
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Strong network within Silicon Valley innovation ecosystems
- Experience with scenario planning and technology forecasting models
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex concepts
- Published thought leadership in tech innovation or strategy
