- Identify and evaluate disruptive technologies through patent analysis and startup scouting
- Present strategic recommendations to C-suite and external stakeholders
- Manage $5M+ innovation budgets and vendor partnerships
- Drive open-source contributions and thought leadership in future tech forums
- Mentor junior strategists and build internal innovation communities
Qualifications
- MS/PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with 8+ years experience
- Proven track record in emerging technology commercialization (AI, quantum, biotech)
- Deep understanding of exponential tech trends and Gartner hype cycles
- Experience with patent landscaping and technology due diligence
- Strong financial modeling skills for ROI projection of futuristic solutions
- Published research or patents in at least one future-tech domain
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex concepts
- Certification in strategic innovation management (e.g., Prosci, INSEAD)
