Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional teams to develop 3-5 year technology roadmaps aligned with market trends and business objectives
- Analyze emerging technologies (quantum computing, AR/VR, synthetic biology) for commercial viability and integration potential
- Produce strategic whitepapers and market positioning documents for C-suite and investor presentations
- Forge partnerships with academic institutions and tech startups to accelerate innovation pipelines
- Manage $5M+ R&D budgets with ROI-focused decision frameworks
- Present future technology forecasts at industry conferences and thought leadership forums
- Mentor junior strategists in scenario planning and technology foresight methodologies
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning with 5+ years in emerging tech or innovation roles
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business with technology specialization
- Proven track record of commercializing futuristic technologies (portfolio required)
- Deep expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, AI ethics, biotech convergence, or metaverse architecture
- Certification in Futures Studies or Technology Foresight (preferred)
- Experience leading cross-continental teams and managing virtual collaboration tools
- Exceptional written/verbal communication with ability to translate complex concepts for diverse audiences
- Portfolio demonstrating technology trend analysis and strategic recommendations
