Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 1-2 technical support for hardware/software issues across 100+ workstations
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows/Linux operating systems and network infrastructure
- Implement cybersecurity protocols including VPN setup, firewall management, and data encryption
- Document IT processes using ticketing systems (ServiceNow/Jira) and knowledge bases
- Collaborate with senior engineers on cloud migrations (AWS/Azure) and system upgrades
- Train end-users on new software implementations and security best practices
- Monitor network performance using tools like SolarWinds and Nagios
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- CompTIA A+ certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
- Basic knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
- Experience with Active Directory and group policy management
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 and cloud platforms
- Strong problem-solving skills and customer service orientation
- Ability to lift 30lbs and work in server environments
- Valid New Mexico driver's license for occasional off-site support
