Responsibilities
- Respond to emergency calls and provide advanced life support in urban/suburban environments
- Perform patient assessments and administer medical interventions per protocols
- Operate emergency vehicles safely during weekend high-traffic periods
- Document medical incidents accurately using digital reporting systems
- Collaborate with hospital staff for seamless patient transitions
- Maintain equipment readiness and inventory for weekend operations
- Participate in continuous training for weekend-specific emergency scenarios
Qualifications
- Nationally certified EMT-P or EMT-B with DC license
- Minimum 2 years emergency services experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Valid DC driver's license with clean record
- Ability to work rotating weekend shifts (Fri-Sun)
- Strong decision-making under pressure
- Excellent communication skills in diverse urban settings
- Background clearance for federal facility access
