Responsibilities
- Provide emergency medical care to patients in critical situations
- Operate emergency vehicles safely and efficiently
- Administer first aid, CPR, and life-saving medications
- Document patient care accurately in electronic health records
- Collaborate with hospital staff during patient transfers
- Maintain and inspect emergency equipment
- Respond to 911 calls with urgency and professionalism
Qualifications
- Current Louisiana EMT-Basic or Paramedic certification
- NREMT certification required
- Minimum 1 year field experience
- Valid Louisiana driver's license
- Ability to lift 150+ pounds and work in high-stress environments
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Background check and drug screen clearance
