Responsibilities
- Provide rapid emergency medical response to 911 calls
- Administer advanced life support (ALS) and basic life support (BLS) protocols
- Transport patients to medical facilities while monitoring vital signs
- Document patient care accurately and maintain medical records
- Collaborate with ER staff for seamless patient handoffs
- Maintain emergency vehicle and equipment readiness
- Participate in continuous training and certification updates
Qualifications
- Current Kansas EMT-Basic or EMT-Paramedic certification
- Minimum 1 year field experience in emergency services
- BLS/CPR certification required (ACLS preferred)
- Valid Kansas driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift 250+ pounds and work in high-stress environments
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Availability for rotating shifts including nights/weekends
- Pass background check and drug screening
