Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive AI ethics policies aligned with evolving regulatory landscapes
- Conduct bias audits and fairness assessments across machine learning models
- Lead cross-functional ethics committees with engineering, legal, and product teams
- Design transparency frameworks for AI decision-making processes
- Stakeholder engagement to build consensus on ethical AI standards
- Research emerging ethical challenges in AI and propose proactive solutions
- Train teams on responsible AI development practices
- Report on AI ethics metrics to executive leadership and regulatory bodies
Qualifications
- PhD in Ethics, Philosophy, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in AI governance, compliance, or ethical technology leadership
- Deep expertise in fairness, accountability, and transparency (FAT) principles
- Strong understanding of global AI regulations (EU AI Act, NIST frameworks)
- Experience conducting bias audits in production ML systems
- Exceptional communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
- Published research or thought leadership in AI ethics
- Fluency in Python for algorithmic bias analysis
