Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning initiatives to identify breakthrough technologies with 2026 market potential
- Develop strategic roadmaps for AI, quantum computing, and biotech convergence
- Collaborate with C-suite executives to align innovation with business objectives
- Manage $50M+ R&D budgets for future-focused projects
- Present visionary frameworks to Fortune 500 partners and government agencies
- Build and lead a multidisciplinary team of futurists and technical architects
- Publish thought leadership in peer-reviewed journals and industry forums
Qualifications
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futuristics
- 10+ years in strategic technology leadership at Fortune 500 companies
- Proven track record of launching technologies with 5+ year market impact
- Expertise in at least two of: AI ethics, quantum algorithms, or synthetic biology
- Published author in technology forecasting or innovation strategy
- Experience securing federal innovation grants (DARPA, NSF, etc.)
- Deep understanding of global tech policy frameworks and regulatory landscapes
