Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization problems
- Develop fault-tolerant qubit systems with <10% error rates
- Create hybrid quantum-classical computing frameworks
- Lead breakthrough research in topological quantum computing
- Secure $2M+ in NSF/DARPA grants for 2026 initiatives
- Mentor PhD interns in quantum mechanics applications
- Publish 3+ papers in Nature/Science journals
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics/Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- Published research in quantum error correction (2020-2023)
- Proficiency in Qiskit/Cirq with 500+ hours of quantum simulation
- Experience with superconducting qubit fabrication
- Security clearance for DoD quantum projects
- Fluency in Python/C++ for quantum control systems
- Prior work at IBM Quantum/Google AI Quantum
- Expertise in quantum machine learning algorithms
