Responsibilities
- Lead strategic planning for 2026 technology roadmap, identifying emerging trends and market opportunities
- Architect scalable innovation frameworks integrating AI, IoT, and sustainable tech solutions
- Direct cross-functional R&D teams through all project lifecycle phases from ideation to market launch
- Establish KPIs and success metrics for futuristic initiatives, measuring impact against industry benchmarks
- Forge strategic partnerships with academic institutions, startups, and Fortune 500 companies
- Present innovation blueprints to executive stakeholders and investor boards
- Drive patent development and intellectual property strategy for breakthrough technologies
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or innovation leadership with proven 5-year horizon planning
- Expertise in emerging technologies (quantum computing, generative AI, biotech convergence)
- Track record of launching minimum 3 market-defining products/services
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Business with specialization in innovation management
- Deep understanding of regulatory landscapes for emerging technologies (FDA, FCC, international standards)
- Exceptional data modeling and scenario planning capabilities
- Certification in Agile/Scrum and technology foresight methodologies (e.g., Delphi, Horizon Scanning)
- Experience securing $5M+ innovation budgets and managing P&L for R&D initiatives
