Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a 2026 innovation roadmap aligned with market trends and business objectives
- Lead R&D initiatives for next-gen technologies including quantum AI and decentralized systems
- Partner with product teams to integrate emerging tech into scalable customer solutions
- Build and manage an innovation lab with $5M+ annual budget for prototyping and testing
- Present strategic recommendations to the board and executive stakeholders quarterly
- Drive patent development and intellectual property strategy for future-facing innovations
- Mentor a team of 12+ engineers and researchers in cutting-edge methodologies
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy with 5+ years in emerging tech leadership roles
- Proven track record of launching products with $50M+ ARR in AI, blockchain, or quantum computing
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business Strategy (PhD preferred)
- Expertise in futures forecasting methodologies (e.g., scenario planning, Delphi technique)
- Strong executive presence with experience presenting to C-suite and boards
- Published research or patents in at least one future-tech domain
- Proficiency in innovation frameworks like Lean Startup and Design Thinking
- Certification in strategic foresight (e.g., from APF or WFS) preferred
