Responsibilities
- Lead comprehensive horizon scanning and trend analysis to identify disruptive technologies and societal shifts impacting 2026
- Develop multi-year strategic roadmaps for quantum computing integration, AI ethics frameworks, and biotech convergence
- Architect scenario-planning models for climate resilience, space commercialization, and decentralized governance systems
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops with engineering, design, and product teams to embed foresight into innovation pipelines
- Establish thought leadership through whitepapers, keynote speeches, and industry roundtables on future-state possibilities
- Advise executive leadership on regulatory implications of emerging technologies (neurotech, synthetic biology, autonomous systems)
- Mentor a team of futurist analysts while cultivating partnerships with MIT Media Lab, Singularity University, and other innovation hubs
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or related field with 10+ years in strategic foresight or innovation leadership
- Expertise in exponential technologies (AI, quantum computing, synthetic biology) with demonstrated impact on organizational strategy
- Proven track record developing scenario-planning frameworks for Fortune 500 companies or global institutions
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed journals or industry publications on technological singularity or human-machine evolution
- Mastery of horizon scanning methodologies (Delphi, STEEP analysis, cross-impact matrices)
- Exceptional communication skills translating complex futures into compelling narratives for diverse stakeholders
- Certification in Strategic Foresight (e.g., from University of Houston or foresight certification program)
