Responsibilities
- Develop and implement 2026+ strategic foresight frameworks using horizon scanning, scenario planning, and trend analysis
- Lead cross-functional workshops to synthesize technological breakthroughs (quantum AI, neurotech, climate engineering) with market demands
- Produce actionable 'Future State' reports for executive leadership, translating complex data into strategic imperatives
- Establish innovation pipelines for emerging markets, including metaverse economics, synthetic biology, and decentralized governance
- Partner with R&D to prototype future-proof solutions aligned with 2026 regulatory and ethical frameworks
- Mentor junior futurists and build an internal foresight intelligence network
- Represent Nexus at global futurist conferences and thought leadership forums
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, Innovation Management, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 10+ years in strategic planning, innovation consulting, or futurist roles with Fortune 500 or scale-up experience
- Proven expertise in horizon scanning, scenario planning, and causal layered analysis methodologies
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (quantum computing, synthetic biology, AGI) and socio-economic impacts
- Exceptional storytelling and executive communication skills with ability to distill complex concepts
- Published thought leadership in futurist publications (e.g., Futures Journal, WFSF)
- Proficiency in foresight tools (e.g., Causal Layered Analysis, Delphi Method) and data visualization platforms
