Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic roadmaps for 2026's emerging technologies (quantum computing, neural interfaces, climate tech)
- Analyze global trends in AI ethics, biotech, and sustainable energy to identify competitive advantages
- Lead cross-functional workshops to align teams on future-facing product development and innovation priorities
- Produce quarterly foresight reports with data-driven scenarios for industry disruption
- Partner with venture capital arm to evaluate and integrate emerging startups into our ecosystem
- Represent FutureWorks at Davos, SXSW, and other future-focused forums as a thought leader
- Mentor innovation teams in speculative design and horizon scanning methodologies
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic foresight, innovation management, or technology consulting
- Proven track record of launching future-oriented products/services (2018-2025)
- Expertise in scenario planning, trend analysis, and systemic modeling
- Deep knowledge of exponential technologies (blockchain, AGI, synthetic biology)
- Certification in Futures Studies or equivalent advanced degree (preferred)
- Experience publishing in journals like Future Studies Quarterly or TechCrunch
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ successful future-vision implementations
- Fluency in data visualization tools (Tableau, Flourish) and AI trend analysis platforms
