Responsibilities
- Develop 5-10 year strategic innovation frameworks for emerging technologies (quantum computing, synthetic biology, neuro-interfaces)
- Lead cross-disciplinary R&D initiatives with partners at NASA, MIT, and CERN
- Translate theoretical breakthroughs into commercially viable product roadmaps
- Present future-vision keynotes at global tech summits (Web Summit, CES)
- Advocate for ethical AI governance and sustainable tech deployment
- Mentor a team of futurist researchers and prototyping specialists
Qualifications
- PhD in Future Studies, Systems Engineering, or equivalent with 8+ years experience
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies
- Expertise in at least three of: quantum algorithms, synthetic biology, neurotech, or space habitats
- Published author in peer-reviewed journals or industry whitepapers
- Fluency in future forecasting methodologies (Delphi, Horizon Scanning)
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ implemented future-tech innovations
- Ability to secure $5M+ in R&D funding annually
