- Conduct horizon scanning of emerging tech trends (neuromorphic chips, synthetic biology, climate AI)
- Secure $5M+ in R&D funding through investor presentations and grant proposals
- Establish industry partnerships with MIT Media Lab, NASA JPL, and global tech accelerators
- Present quarterly innovation briefings to the board of directors
- Manage the Future Tech Incubator program (15+ researchers)
- Author white papers on 2026 technology paradigms for industry publications
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Physics, or Engineering with 10+ years R&D leadership
- Proven track record launching patented technologies with >$100M market impact
- Expertise in at least three emerging tech domains (quantum computing, advanced AI, biotech)
- Experience securing federal grants (DARPA, NSF) and VC funding
- Published author in Nature/Science or equivalent tier journals
- Fluency in technology forecasting methodologies (Delphi, scenario planning)
