Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 5-year strategic technology roadmaps aligned with 2026 market predictions
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping next-gen solutions (quantum AI, biotech interfaces, climate tech)
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify emerging threats/opportunities in global tech ecosystems
- Present futuristic insights to executive stakeholders and board members quarterly
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and innovation labs
- Mentor junior futurists in scenario planning and trend analysis methodologies
- Author annual 'Future State' reports influencing company-wide R&D priorities
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic planning, R&D, or innovation leadership
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum computing, neurotech, synthetic biology)
- Proven track record of launching future-focused products/services
- Advanced degree in technology, foresight, or business strategy preferred
- Certification in futures studies or scenario planning (e.g., CFCS) required
- Exceptional storytelling skills with executive presentation experience
- Published thought leadership in tech futurism (white papers, patents, or keynotes)
- Experience scaling innovation programs from concept to commercialization
