Responsibilities
- Develop 10-year innovation roadmaps for quantum computing, synthetic biology, and climate tech verticals
- Anticipate global market disruptions through trend analysis and scenario planning
- Lead cross-functional teams of engineers, designers, and data scientists in rapid prototyping
- Build strategic partnerships with research institutions and Fortune 500 innovation labs
- Present future-state visions to C-suite executives and venture capital partners
- Curate and analyze emerging tech signals from 50+ global innovation hubs
- Drive patent development for breakthrough technologies with $100M+ market potential
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic innovation, futurism, or R&D leadership at Fortune 100 scale
- Proven track record of forecasting tech adoption curves (showcase 3+ accurate predictions)
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains: AI, quantum, AR/VR, or synthetic biology
- PhD or equivalent in Futures Studies, Systems Engineering, or related field
- Published thought leadership in top-tier innovation journals (e.g., MIT Tech Review)
- Experience securing $50M+ in R&D funding for speculative projects
- Proficiency in horizon scanning methodologies and trend analysis frameworks
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex futures to stakeholders
