Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care during weekend shifts (7 AM - 7 PM)
- Assist physicians with examinations and minor procedures
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, and basic lab tests
- Manage patient records and electronic health documentation
- Administer medications under physician supervision
- Coordinate weekend patient flow and triage
- Maintain strict HIPAA compliance and safety protocols
Qualifications
- Current Kansas Medical Assistant certification required
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience preferred
- BLS/CPR certification (or obtain within 30 days)
- Strong weekend availability with weekday flexibility
- Excellent communication and patient interaction skills
- Proficiency in EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Ability to work independently in fast-paced settings
