Responsibilities
- Assist physicians during patient examinations and procedures
- Perform vital sign measurements and basic diagnostic tests
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, medical instruments, and supplies
- Manage patient records using EHR systems with precision
- Administer injections and medications under physician supervision
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Coordinate appointment scheduling and patient flow efficiently
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; CMA or RMA certification strongly preferred
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care setting
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic, Cerner, or similar)
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Valid New York State Medical Assistant registration
