Responsibilities
- Lead full-cycle development of scalable cloud-based applications using Java/Spring Boot
- Mentor junior developers through code reviews and technical guidance
- Architect solutions for high-availability financial systems processing 10K+ transactions daily
- Implement CI/CD pipelines using AWS services (Lambda, EC2, RDS)
- Collaborate with product teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications
- Optimize database performance and troubleshoot complex production issues
- Contribute to open-source projects and represent the company at tech meetups
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software development experience with Java/Spring
- Expertise in microservices architecture and RESTful API design
- Strong proficiency with relational databases (PostgreSQL) and caching strategies (Redis)
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Proven track record of delivering mission-critical applications in fintech or e-commerce
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in fast-paced environments
- Local to New Orleans or able to relocate immediately (no visa sponsorship)
