Responsibilities
- Provide specialized care for post-cardiac surgery patients and critical cardiac conditions
- Monitor and interpret ECG rhythms, hemodynamic data, and ventilator parametersAdminister precise medication dosages and emergency interventions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including cardiologists and surgeons
- Implement evidence-based cardiac care protocols
- Document patient assessments and interventions in EMR system
- Mentor new staff and participate in quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active California RN license (required)
- Minimum 2 years ICU/CCU experience
- BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications
- BSN degree or higher preferred
- Experience with cardiac monitoring equipment (Swan-Ganz, IABP)
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
