Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in acute care settings with focus on critical assessment and intervention
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders with precise documentation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and ensure regulatory compliance
- Supervise LVNs/CNAs and provide clinical guidance to nursing staff
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and safety protocols
- Respond rapidly to emergency situations with calm, decisive action
Qualifications
- Current AZ RN license (compact license acceptable)
- ACLS/BLS certifications required (PALS preferred)
- Minimum 2 years acute care experience in telemetry or ICU setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Strong critical thinking and prioritization skills in fast-paced environments
- Excellent communication abilities with patients, families, and medical teams
- Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts including nights/weekends as needed
- BSN degree required (ADN candidates with 5+ years experience considered)
