Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care during weekend shifts, including vitals, injections, and wound care
- Assist physicians with clinical procedures and diagnostic tests
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Manage patient flow and ensure efficient clinic operations
- Handle administrative tasks including scheduling and insurance verification
- Uphold strict HIPAA compliance and infection control protocols
- Respond effectively to urgent medical situations
Qualifications
- Current MA license or certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in urgent care or emergency setting
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic/NextGen preferred)
- Exceptional communication and patient interaction skills
- Ability to work independently in high-pressure weekend environments
- Flexibility to cover additional shifts as needed
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
