Responsibilities
- Provide advanced nursing care to critically ill patients in the Emergency Department
- Assess patient conditions, administer medications, and perform diagnostic procedures
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop treatment plans
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations
- Lead emergency response situations and prioritize patient triage
- Mentor junior nursing staff and participate in continuous improvement initiatives
- Participate in hospital committees and contribute to evidence-based practice
Qualifications
- Active Kentucky RN license (required)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher
- Minimum 3 years Emergency Department experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in high-stress environments
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems
