Why this role is urgent: Our current DevOps lead is transitioning internally, requiring immediate technical leadership for critical AWS/Kubernetes deployments serving 2M+ users. You'll own infrastructure automation, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud cost optimization from day one.
Responsibilities
- Architect and implement AWS/GCP infrastructure-as-code using Terraform and CloudFormation
- Lead Kubernetes cluster management (EKS/GKE) with Helm and Istio service mesh
- Design CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins/GitLab CI and ArgoCD
- Optimize cloud costs while ensuring 99.99% uptime for production workloads
- Implement infrastructure security (IAM, VPC, security groups) and compliance frameworks
- Mentor junior engineers and drive DevOps best practices across teams
- Collaborate with SRE team to resolve production incidents and SLA improvements
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on DevOps/Cloud Engineering experience
- Expert proficiency in AWS/GCP services (EC2, S3, Lambda, VPC, etc.)
- Advanced Kubernetes administration and container orchestration skills
- Strong scripting capabilities in Python, Bash, or Go
- Infrastructure-as-code mastery (Terraform, CloudFormation)
- CI/CD pipeline experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI
- Knowledge of infrastructure security and compliance (SOC2, ISO 27001)
- Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog)
