Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain server racks, network switches, and power distribution units
- Perform hardware troubleshooting and component replacements during off-peak hours
- Execute environmental controls monitoring (HVAC, humidity, fire suppression)
- Document maintenance logs and incident reports in ticketing systems
- Collaborate with on-call engineers during critical outages
- Enforce security protocols for after-hours facility access
- Conduct preventative maintenance on UPS systems and backup generators
Qualifications
- 2+ years of hands-on data center or server room experience
- CompTIA A+ or Network+ certification required
- Proficiency with Linux/Windows server environments
- Ability to lift 50lbs and work in physically demanding conditions
- Strong diagnostic skills for hardware/network issues
- Valid California driver's license for equipment transport
- Flexibility to work rotating weekends during critical maintenance
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred
