Responsibilities
- Shipment Management: Coordinate the end-to-end shipping process, including scheduling, tracking, and proof of delivery.
- Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels and manage inbound/outbound inventory to prevent shortages or overstocking.
- Data Accuracy: Maintain precise records in our ERP systems regarding shipping manifests and billing documents.
- Problem Resolution: Quickly identify and resolve logistical bottlenecks or shipping delays with carriers.
- Compliance: Ensure all logistics operations adhere to local, state, and federal transportation regulations.
- Vendor Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for 3PL partners and internal departments.
- Reporting: Generate daily reports on shipping performance and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or Logistics preferred.
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in logistics, warehousing, or freight forwarding.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with SAP, Oracle, or similar warehouse management software.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to negotiate effectively.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods in a warehouse environment.
- Availability: Must be available to work flexible shifts, including weekends and overtime as needed.
