Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and respond to incidents 24/7.
- Conduct comprehensive vulnerability scans and penetration testing to ensure system integrity.
- Enforce compliance with NIST 800-53, FISMA, and DCMA security frameworks.
- Lead incident response investigations and provide detailed post-incident reports.
- Configure and manage firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection systems.
- Collaborate with development teams to implement secure coding practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or related technical field.
- Certifications: CISSP, Security+, or CEH required; GSEC preferred.
- Active Top Secret clearance (or the ability to obtain one immediately).
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, network defense, or incident response.
- Proficiency with Python or scripting for automation and log analysis.
