Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, vital sign measurement, and preliminary assessments
- Assist physicians with examinations and minor procedures
- Administer medications and injections under provider supervision
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Prepare examination rooms and maintain sterile environments
- Handle patient scheduling and insurance verification
- Provide patient education on treatment plans
- Urgent care triage and prioritization of cases
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
- Minimum 1 year urgent care or clinical experience
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environments
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Flexibility to work rotating weekends/holidays
- Valid Washington DC healthcare license
