Apex Digital is seeking a visionary Senior Technical SEO Specialist to drive our organic growth strategy. In this pivotal role, you will bridge the gap between engineering and marketing, ensuring our digital infrastructure is optimized for maximum search visibility and user experience. You will lead technical audits, implement advanced schema markup, and mentor junior team members on best practices.
Our ideal candidate has a deep understanding of how search engines crawl and index the web. You will work closely with our development team to resolve complex site architecture issues and ensure our Core Web Vitals meet Googleβs standards.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive technical SEO audits to identify and resolve crawl errors, indexing issues, and site architecture problems.
- Optimize website performance to improve Core Web Vitals and load times, directly impacting user engagement and search rankings.
- Implement and maintain structured data (Schema.org) to enhance search engine understanding and rich snippet visibility.
- Collaborate with frontend and backend developers to execute technical recommendations and monitor their impact via Google Search Console and Analytics.
- Develop and execute XML sitemaps and robots.txt directives to manage site indexing efficiently.
- Stay abreast of Google algorithm updates and industry trends to proactively adjust our technical strategies.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in technical SEO, with a proven track record of improving organic traffic and search visibility for large-scale websites.
- Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to troubleshoot on-page technical issues.
- Deep knowledge of Google Search Console, Analytics, and web analytics tools (e.g., Google Tag Manager, Hotjar).
- Experience with CMS platforms (WordPress, Drupal, or Shopify) and technical configurations.
- Familiarity with performance optimization tools (e.g., Lighthouse, PageSpeed Insights, GTmetrix) and scripting languages (Python or Bash) is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical jargon into actionable business insights for non-technical stakeholders.
