Responsibilities
- Design and implement microservices using Java/Spring Boot and AWS cloud infrastructure
- Lead code reviews and mentor junior engineers in agile methodologies
- Optimize database performance (PostgreSQL) and API latency for high-traffic systems
- Collaborate with product teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Implement CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Docker for seamless deployments
- Contribute to security initiatives including OAuth 2.0 and data encryption protocols
- Present technical findings to cross-functional stakeholders and executive leadership
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in backend development with Java and cloud platforms
- Expertise in microservices architecture and distributed systems design
- Proven track record of leading production deployments at scale
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and event-driven architectures
- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- Experience with fintech/payment systems or high-throughput applications
- Proficiency in testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito) and TDD practices
- Excellent problem-solving skills with complex algorithmic challenges
