Job Description
We are on the precipice of a computing revolution. Horizon 2026 is a pioneering technology firm dedicated to shaping the future of information processing through advanced quantum solutions. We are seeking a visionary Senior Quantum Architect to lead our infrastructure team in San Francisco.
In this role, you will design the architectural blueprints for our next-generation quantum processors and hybrid cloud systems. You will work at the intersection of physics, mathematics, and software engineering to solve problems that are currently deemed unsolvable by classical computers.
Join us in building the backbone of the post-silicon world.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable quantum processing unit (QPU) architectures and hybrid classical-quantum algorithms.
- Optimize quantum circuit designs for error correction and reduced latency.
- Lead the integration of quantum solutions into existing cloud infrastructure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional R&D teams to translate theoretical research into production-ready code.
- Conduct rigorous performance testing and analysis of quantum systems.
- Define technical standards and best practices for quantum software development.
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in quantum computing, high-performance computing (HPC), or advanced algorithms.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, and Q# or Qiskit.
- Deep understanding of linear algebra, probability theory, and cryptography.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of mentoring engineering teams.
