Responsibilities
- Algorithm Design: Develop and optimize quantum algorithms for machine learning tasks, specifically focusing on variational quantum eigensolvers and quantum neural networks.
- System Integration: Design architectural frameworks that seamlessly integrate quantum processing units (QPUs) with classical AI pipelines.
- Research & Development: Conduct cutting-edge research into error mitigation techniques and quantum coherence preservation for AI models.
- Technical Leadership: Mentor junior engineers and data scientists, establishing coding standards and architectural best practices for quantum software.
- Prototyping: Build rapid prototypes of AI-driven quantum solutions to validate feasibility before large-scale deployment.
- Collaboration: Partner with physicists and hardware engineers to align software capabilities with hardware limitations.
Qualifications
- Education: PhD in Computer Science, Physics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering, with at least 2 years focused on AI/ML or Quantum Computing.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Qiskit, Cirq) and C++ for low-level optimization.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of linear algebra, probability, and quantum mechanics fundamentals.
- Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to tackle complex, open-ended technical challenges with innovative solutions.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of translating complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
