Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning for emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech) and their market implications through 2026+
- Develop future scenario frameworks to inform strategic decision-making and risk mitigation
- Produce thought leadership content (whitepapers, keynotes) positioning company as innovation authority
- Partner with R&D to translate foresight into actionable product roadmaps
- Establish cross-functional innovation councils to embed future-thinking across departments
- Analyze geopolitical and socio-economic trends impacting industry evolution
- Mentor junior futurists and build foresight capabilities within organization
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or technology research
- Proven track record of translating future trends into business strategy
- Expertise in horizon scanning methodologies and scenario planning
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Technology Forecasting, or related field
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies and their disruptive potential
- Exceptional storytelling skills with executive-level presentation experience
- Published thought leadership in futurism or innovation domains
- Experience advising Fortune 500 companies on long-term transformation
