Responsibilities
- Analyze global megatrends, technological disruptions, and socio-economic shifts to forecast 2026+ landscapes
- Develop evidence-based scenario-planning frameworks for C-suite decision-making
- Lead cross-functional workshops to embed foresight into product development and corporate strategy
- Author thought leadership publications and present insights at industry conferences
- Build strategic partnerships with academic institutions and innovation labs
- Mentor junior futurists and establish foresight methodologies across the organization
- Monitor emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech) for competitive advantage
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, Technology Forecasting, or related field
- 8+ years in strategic planning, innovation consulting, or futurist roles
- Proven track record of translating foresight into commercial success
- Expertise in scenario planning, trend analysis, and horizon scanning methodologies
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies and their societal implications
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to simplify complex concepts
- Certification in Strategic Foresight (e.g., from University of Houston or similar)
- Portfolio demonstrating published foresight work or implemented strategic initiatives
