Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a 5-year strategic innovation roadmap aligned with 2026 market projections
- Lead horizon scanning for emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech) and assess commercial viability
- Design and facilitate innovation workshops with executive stakeholders to translate foresight into actionable plans
- Oversee prototyping of futuristic concepts using rapid development methodologies
- Build and manage a network of futurists, technologists, and industry disruptors
- Present strategic recommendations to the board with data-backed impact projections
- Mentor junior innovation strategists in futures thinking methodologies
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic planning, innovation management, or futures research
- Proven track record of launching products/services based on emerging tech trends
- Expertise in horizon scanning, scenario planning, and trend analysis frameworks
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (AI, blockchain, synthetic biology)
- Exceptional communication skills with executive stakeholders
- Advanced degree in Strategic Foresight, Technology Management, or related field
- Certification in Futures Thinking (e.g., from APF or WFS) preferred
- Portfolio demonstrating successful innovation projects from concept to market
