Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the 2026 Technology Horizon Map, identifying inflection points across biotech, AI, and space exploration
- Lead scenario-planning workshops with C-suite executives to prepare for disruptive futures
- Author white papers and keynote presentations at Davos, SXSW, and specialized futurist conferences
- Manage a portfolio of experimental innovation labs exploring human augmentation and decentralized governance
- Partner with venture capital arm to identify and incubate 2026-disruptive startups
- Mentor junior futurists through our Future Leaders program
- Represent Nexus Horizons in global policy discussions on AI ethics and human augmentation
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or equivalent interdisciplinary field with 8+ years experience
- Proven track record of published trend forecasting in peer-reviewed journals or industry publications
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging technology domains (quantum computing, synthetic biology, AGI, etc.)
- Experience designing and facilitating large-scale foresight initiatives with Fortune 500 clients
- Portfolio demonstrating scenario planning methodologies and trend-mapping visualizations
- Fluency in foresight frameworks (e.g., Delphi, Horizon Scanning, Three Horizons)
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to translate complex futures into strategic action
- Willingness to travel quarterly for global trend-spotting missions
