Responsibilities
- Analyze and synthesize complex signals across technology, geopolitics, economics, and culture to identify high-impact future scenarios
- Develop and maintain a strategic foresight framework with quarterly horizon scanning reports
- Lead cross-functional workshops to translate future insights into innovation roadmaps and risk mitigation strategies
- Partner with product teams to embed future-readiness into design principles and technology choices
- Represent the organization at global foresight forums and publish thought leadership in industry publications
- Mentor junior futurists and build a network of external experts across emerging domains
- Quantify future opportunities through scenario modeling and probability-weighted impact assessments
Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or future-focused R&D leadership
- Proven track record of translating foresight into commercial or organizational impact
- Expertise in at least three emerging domains: quantum computing, neurotech, climate adaptation, or decentralized governance
- Advanced degree in futures studies, strategic management, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Exceptional storytelling skills with ability to communicate complex futures to diverse stakeholders
- Proficiency in foresight methodologies (e.g., Delphi, horizon scanning, scenario planning)
- Portfolio of published future forecasts or innovation frameworks that influenced real-world outcomes
