Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and vulnerability scans to identify and remediate security gaps.
- Lead incident response teams to mitigate and contain cyber threats effectively.
- Implement and maintain advanced security protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
- Monitor network traffic for anomalies and suspicious activities using SIEM tools.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal regulations (FISMA, NIST) and internal security policies.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate security best practices into the software lifecycle.
- Provide expert consultation on cybersecurity trends and threat intelligence.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity or information security analysis.
- Certification required: CISSP, CEH, or Security+.
- Active Secret clearance or higher is preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Splunk, FireEye, or similar SIEM/EDR platforms.
- Deep understanding of encryption standards, network architecture, and threat intelligence.
- Excellent communication skills to translate technical risks for non-technical stakeholders.
