Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and events in real-time to detect and respond to cyber threats.
- Conduct thorough vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Lead incident response investigations, coordinating with legal and IT teams during security breaches.
- Design, implement, and maintain security controls and firewalls to protect organizational assets.
- Develop and update incident response plans and security playbooks.
- Perform regular security audits and ensure compliance with NIST, HIPAA, and ISO standards.
- Collaborate with software development teams to integrate security into the SDLC.
Qualifications
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or GIAC GCIH certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity, network security, or information assurance.
- Strong knowledge of security frameworks including CIA triad, NIST, and FISMA.
- Proficiency in SIEM tools such as Splunk, QRadar, or ArcSight.
- Experience with scripting languages (Python, Bash) for automation and log analysis.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to obtain a Top Secret security clearance.
