Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify potential risks.
- Monitor network traffic and security systems in real-time to detect and respond to cyber threats.
- Lead incident response teams to mitigate security breaches and restore operations quickly.
- Ensure compliance with federal regulations including NIST, FISMA, and FedRAMP standards.
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation of security policies, procedures, and incident reports.
- Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to integrate security best practices into the development lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity or information security analysis.
- Certification such as CISSP, GSEC, or CEH is strongly preferred.
- Deep knowledge of network security protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
- Strong understanding of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) frameworks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical reporting.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
