Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security events across the network to detect and respond to cyber threats in real-time.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits to identify system weaknesses.
- Configure, manage, and tune SIEM tools and security information management systems.
- Lead incident response investigations and coordinate recovery efforts for security breaches.
- Ensure strict compliance with internal security policies and external regulatory frameworks (e.g., SOC2, HIPAA).
- Develop and maintain detailed security documentation and incident reports.
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement robust security controls and firewalls.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in information security or cybersecurity.
- Active certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or Security+ are highly preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Python or Bash scripting for security automation.
- Experience with cloud security architectures (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Deep understanding of network protocols, TCP/IP, and operating systems (Linux/Windows).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration.
- Must be willing to start immediately and work flexible hours during critical security windows.
