As a key member of our engineering leadership team, you will bridge the gap between theoretical research and practical deployment, ensuring our AI architectures are not only cutting-edge but also secure and scalable.
Responsibilities
- Architectural Leadership: Design and implement scalable AI architectures for enterprise-level applications, ensuring high availability and fault tolerance.
- Strategic Planning: Lead the technical strategy for deep learning, natural language processing, and computer vision initiatives.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product managers, data scientists, and software engineers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Mentorship: Mentor junior engineers and data scientists, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
- Performance Optimization: Continuously optimize existing models and inference pipelines for latency, throughput, and cost efficiency.
- R&D Integration: Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI research and evaluate their applicability to Zai Global's product suite.
Qualifications
- Education: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field (PhD preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering, with at least 2 years in a lead or architect role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Scikit-learn; strong understanding of distributed systems.
- Cloud Expertise: Deep experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and MLOps tools.
- Problem Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to deconstruct complex problems into manageable components.
- Communication: Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
