Responsibilities
- Design and execute complex character animation sequences, including walk cycles, dialogue, and action scenes, using industry-standard software such as Toon Boom Harmony and Adobe After Effects.
- Collaborate with the art direction team to establish visual style guides and ensure consistency across all animation assets.
- Optimize animation files for various platforms, ensuring high performance without compromising visual fidelity.
- Participate in daily "dailies" and review sessions, providing constructive feedback to junior animators and incorporating studio notes into revisions.
- Create high-quality keyframes and in-betweens that demonstrate a deep understanding of weight, balance, and physics.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in 2D animation, preferably within the gaming, advertising, or entertainment industry.
- Proficient in Toon Boom Harmony, Adobe After Effects, and Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating a range of animation styles, from character-driven narratives to motion graphics.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate creative concepts to a diverse team.
- Experience managing project timelines and working under tight deadlines without sacrificing quality.
