Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy milestones on 1000+ qubit systems
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum computing
- Collaborate with hardware teams on qubit coherence improvements and control systems
- Author peer-reviewed publications and patentable quantum methodologies
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information theory
- Present findings at IEEE Quantum Week and ACM conferences
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent research experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in quantum computing or quantum information theory
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Experience with superconducting or photonic quantum hardware
- Strong Python/C++ programming skills for quantum simulation
