Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization problems and machine learning applications
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to prototype quantum processors at 273 mK temperatures
- Lead research publications in Nature/Science journals and present findings at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor junior researchers through our Quantum Fellowship Program
- Secure government grants and industry partnerships for quantum computing initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Quantum Information Science with 3+ years research experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published work in quantum algorithm development or quantum error correction
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence mitigation techniques
- Experience with cryogenic quantum computing systems or superconducting qubits
- Track record of securing NSF or DARPA research grants
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Python and TensorFlow
