Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for practical industrial applications
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing error-corrected qubit architectures
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals (Nature/Science)
- Collaborate with hardware teams on superconducting/photonic quantum processors
- Secure $1M+ in government/private research grants
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
- Contribute to open-source quantum frameworks (Qiskit/Cirq)
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Publication record in quantum computing or quantum information
- Proficiency in Python, QASM, and quantum simulation tools
- Deep understanding of quantum entanglement and decoherence
- Experience with cryogenic systems or photonic computing
- Strong track record of interdisciplinary collaboration
- US citizenship required for government contract work
