Join Nexus Labs at the forefront of quantum innovation. We're seeking a Quantum Computing Researcher to develop breakthrough algorithms and applications for our 2026 quantum computing roadmap. You'll work in our state-of-the-art Austin lab, collaborating with Nobel laureates and industry pioneers to solve previously unsolvable computational challenges.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Conduct experimental validation on quantum hardware prototypes
- Develop error correction techniques for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Publish research in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to co-design quantum processors
- Mentor junior researchers and lead cross-functional innovation sprints
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or PennyLane)
- Strong background in linear algebra, quantum mechanics, and complexity theory
- Track record of peer-reviewed publications in quantum computing
- Experience with NISQ-era hardware and error mitigation techniques
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts for diverse stakeholders
